Picture a unique sound that combines influences from funk legends like Rick James, Boosty Collins, Prince, SOS Band, and pair them with musicians that have actually toured, played with and opened for artists like Toto, Prince, Babyface, Chris Brown, & Patti Labelle...

The band is LOUD AS FUNK (LAF). Loud as Funk's initial introduction to the world began as a cover band with a weekly residency in Los Angeles.  Formed in 2015 by Drummer Reggie"Regg"Johnson (DC), the band consists of six members: Myra Washington (Houston), Yuki Hayashi (Tokyo), Ariel Mann (Israel), Xavier Taplin (Tulsa) and Clifton"Clif" Williams(DC). Working together in numerous venues and on countless stages in and outside of Los Angeles, LAF has created a well-rounded sound that is nostalgic, but new, danceable, and funky. Uniting music lovers everywhere and fulfilling the need for funk and dance music, LAF has made the transition from a local cover band to Indie Artist. LAF's infectious sound and rapidly growing fanbase recently inspired the creation of its first almbum and expanded opportunities to tour overseas in Japan and Europe.
